The Rudd Government: One year down, two to go.

On November 24 2007, Australians voted for a Labor Federal government led by Queenslander Kevin Rudd MP. On the first anniversary of Labor's election to power and in the midst of a world economic crisis, it's time to reflect on the past year and hear from our panel of experts on what we might expect from Labor in the next two years.

Joining the NSW Fabians will be Dr John Hewson, Paul Kelly and Barry Jones.

The moderator for the seminar is Dr Rodney Cavalier:

When: 6.00 pm for 6.30 pm December 10 2008.

Where: Level 1, (Mitchell Theatre) Sydney Mechanics School of Arts – 280 Pitt St, Sydney.

Cost: Non-Fabians $10. Free for members with current membership card.

Contact: Bookings essential – book at nswfabiansociety@gmail.com or on mobile 0400 188 815.

Discussion Paper: Western Sydney Public Transport Projects

Over the years some significant western Sydney public transport priorities have been muddled by politicians and planners asking the wrong questions and misunderstanding the problems to be solved.

This has caused a high level of cynicism by the public and dysfunctional processes to solve the main challenges facing current and potential western Sydney public transport users.
